Limetr.ee: A Web Application that Allows you to Safely Keep Messages, Photos and Videos you Want to Preserve as a Legacy for your Child

Limetree is about gathering family and friends around your children’s history. About the legacy you want to pass to your child. About safeguarding memories for the future.

We had a very good time interviewing Mr. “Pedro Veloso“; Co-Founder of the Portugal (Lisbon)-based start-up “http://www.limetr.ee” about his nothing less than wonderful Company.

Below is the full and in-depth very insightful interview that we have conducted with with Mr. Veloso regarding his start-up “Limetr.ee”:

1. What is it exactly that you do and what “Limetr.ee” is all about?

Imagine a place where you can gather photos, videos, audio files and texts that illustrate your children’s lives.

Imagine you can put together this recollection of memories as your children are growing, enjoy it, and share it with your family and close friends.

Imagine it’s private, safe and beautiful.

You just imagined Limetree.

It’s your digital shoebox where you can store all kinds of memories from your kids as they grow and it is also a time capsule that is delivered to them on the day you choose. How can you not do it for your kids?

2. When has “Limetr.ee” been founded? And what stage is “Limetr.ee” currently at?

Limetree’s idea began in April 2011. Basically our two co-founders are both parents and would like to create a platform where they could store safely and privately a recollection of their kids’ digital moments – their photos, videos, audios, letters, write down a note or keep a journal.

Until June, both of them worked to produce a document that would describe exactly how that product would work and what would it be. And that was the brief that allowed the engineering team to begin their work.

From August to December the web based application was developed and in January the first Beta testers were invited in.

This private Beta took place from January till May, when we began a new phase and opened the website, to a public beta.

At this moment we’re developing a couple of new functionalities that should be ready in June and will be in place before final launch.

We’re also developing the mobile application for iOS and Android. iOS app will be released (hopefully) in July and Android one, next fall.

We have really enjoyed ourselves interviewing the brilliant Mr. “Rajan Chandi“; Co-Founder and CEO of the US (San Jose, California)-based start-up “http://www.airsee.com” about his Company.

1. What is it exactly that you do and what “Airsee” is all about?

The internet has been a good communication platform for connecting people who are interacting through blogs, pages, posts and comments. It still lacks the real-life face-to-face interaction and personal communication that is fun. It seems to be full of content, but it is lacking real people. Airsee looks forward to help change this.

Airsee is an ad-free video streaming and interaction website that lets anyone address a large audience while meeting new people face to face through Live Video.

We’ve been able to offer this ad-free video platform due to Adobe’s new RTMFP peer-to-peer video broadcasting technology which doesn’t cost us bandwidth.

Our key use-case is a Celebrity or Musician interacting with large numbers of fans one-to-many and face-to-face. We offer unique URLs to broadcasters e.g. http://airsee.com/name. Here, fans can see them live and start a chat. The audience does not need to create an Airsee.com account to get started.

Airsee.com is fully Twitter integrated which means easy access to celebrities, celebrities followers, and added security for the interaction. With the ability to communicate one on one with their followers Airsee plans to be a hotspot for new and old celebrities alike.

2. When has “Airsee” been founded? And what stage is “Airsee” currently at?

It all started as a small hackathon project which was built in 2 days and attracted over 200 users in a couple hours of launch in December 2011.

We’ve built out the product and are signing up new users everyday. We also have started working with musicians and celebrities.

Our new features are aimed at helping musicians sell more music by interacting with Fans and driving traffic to their music store through ‘Store’ button and ‘Store URL’.

WriteThat.Name: An Email Assistant that Automatically Updates your Address Book

WriteThat.name automatically updates your address book based on the information contained in the messages received, Basically it recognizes the signatures in the email you receive and either we create the contact when it is not in your address book or we update the existing one with a new mobile number, for instance.

We had a nice discussion with Mr. “Philippe Laval”; Founder and CEO of the French-based start-up “http://www.writethat.name” about his Company.

As per Mr. Laval; Imagine – emails that recognize they’ve been forgotten or are urgent, or appear before you jump on the plane! Kwaga has created the technology and product hooks to deliver smarter emails at the right time and in the right place, whether at your desk or running around in the field.

Mr. Laval, founded Kwaga (the parent Company) two years ago with a simple idea in mind: help email users truly benefit from business data nested in the messages they receive. To do so, he leveraged the experience he has in semantic technologies and actually strengthen it with a team of NLP (natural language processing) experts who have been enthusiastic about the idea. Kwaga is now 10 people fully dedicated to make the email the productivity tool it once used to be.

We had an in-depth and lengthy interview with Mrs. “Kat Krull”; Associate Marketing Manager at the US (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)-based start-up Careerimp, Inc. about the Company’s flagship service and product “http://www.resunate.com”.

As per Mrs. Krull; Careerimp, Inc. is a startup company based out of Pittsburgh, PA that currently has seven employees. Its mission is to provide useful tools to help job seekers conquer the job-hunting process easily, quickly, and effectively. Careerimp’s inception was in early 2010, when Careerimp’s CEO, Ayan Kishore, was a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University’s Human Interaction Institute and was working on his final project.

What spun out of the results of the project was Careerimp’s first service, Resunate, an online job application tool that automatically evaluates and optimizes a resume for a specific job. Exactly one year later after Resunate’s public launch (which was in April 2011), Careerimp launched their second service, ApplyApp.ly, an innovative job search engine that matches job seekers with their most compatible job openings, based on their experience, skills, and Myers-Briggs® personality type.
